Yes, it is true. Indonesian Batiks has a new owner!
It is time for the next chapter in my life. As much as I have loved growing this business and working with all of you folks, I feel very confident my business is in the good hands of someone younger with a similar passion for batiks.
Presenting Topher Anderson
He has a Ph. D. in textiles (he knows a lot about textiles). He is expanding his current business where he teaches classes, as well as, selling creative and industrial embroidery machines. His company is Arachne Labs LLC. You might also recognize him as Textile Topher from YouTube. @tophanderson
Being from Seattle, he is not far from where it all started. He has a great sense of humor and is a pleasure to be around and work with. I feel confident he will continue to provide all your batik needs into the future. He is very gregarious and is looking forward to working with you all. I think Topher is the perfect person to take over my company and I know he will do a great job. I am so happy that he wants to continue where I left off.
Now he has many hours of work ahead of him, sorting out all of the fabrics. Topher is really looking forward to meeting everyone and doing business. His plan is to spend some time getting things in order. (Keep an eye on the website for updates.) Then Indonesian Batiks will be back up and running, and he will be ready to take your orders. Expect to see him at upcoming events and expos.
Topher, I wish you many happy years of continuing the legacy of Indonesian Batiks!
